To uphold the virtue of 'service before self', several social work programmes are held throughout every academic session to make students aware about the importance of being someone's pain bearers and at the same time to have the students first hand experience of sufferings and miseries which downtrodden people undergo. During the previous session, as a part of social work students and teachers got a chance to witness some real pain of being homeless when they went out to a shelter exclusively built for homeless people. Students contributed their part and tried to provide some temporary elation to the subjects residing there.
There cannot be a bigger loss for any child than losing their parents at an early age. It has rightly been said that when we try to become a partner in someone's grief, the grief itself goes down by half. With the same initiative, our school in the session 2022-23 organised an affirmative visitation to an orphanage located at Phephna. The students arranged whatever articles they could with some little assistance from the teachers and tried to provide some moment of happiness and joy to the subjects present over there.
We strongly believe in the importance of environmental conservation, and one of the ways we contribute towards this cause is by conducting regular plantation drives. We organize these drives at different times throughout the year, and students actively participate in them by planting saplings in and around the school premises. These drives not only help in improving the aesthetics of the school but also contribute towards creating a more sustainable environment. The students learn about the importance of planting trees and how it helps in reducing pollution, conserving water, and maintaining ecological balance. The school also invites experts to conduct workshops on gardening and sustainable living practices, encouraging students to become responsible stewards of the environment. Our school's regular plantation drives are a testament to our commitment towards environmental sustainability, and we believe it instils in students a deep sense of environmental responsibility.
