Examination policy

  1. Assessment Criteria: The assessment criteria will be based on the guidelines provided by the CBSE board, which includes both formative and summative assessments. The weightage for each assessment will be pre-decided and communicated to the students and parents.
  2. Evaluation Pattern: The evaluation pattern will be as per the CBSE guidelines, which include periodic tests, mid-term examinations, and annual examinations.
  3. Grading System: The grading system will follow the 9-point grading scale as per the CBSE board. The grading scale ranges from A1 to E, where A1 is the highest grade and E is the lowest.
  4. Assessment Schedule: The school will conduct periodic assessments throughout the academic year to monitor the progress of the students. The schedule for assessments will be communicated to the students and parents well in advance.
  5. Question Paper Design: The question paper design will be as per the CBSE guidelines. The question paper will consist of objective and subjective type questions. The objective-type questions will include multiple-choice questions, fill in the blanks, and match the following. The subjective-type questions will include short-answer questions, long-answer questions, and essay-type questions.
  6. Examination Rules: The examination rules will be strictly enforced to maintain the integrity of the examination process. The rules will include the prohibition of any form of cheating or plagiarism, the use of electronic devices, and communication during the examination.
  7. Grading Criteria: The grading criteria will be based on the total marks obtained by the students in each assessment. The grading system will be transparent, and the grades obtained by the students will be communicated to them and their parents.
  8. Re-evaluation and Verification: The students who are not satisfied with their grades can apply for re-evaluation and verification of their answer sheets. The fees and the procedure for re-evaluation and verification will be as per the CBSE guidelines.
  9. Promotion Criteria: The promotion criteria will be based on the overall performance of the student throughout the academic year. The students who meet the promotion criteria will be promoted to the next class.
  10. Remedial Measures: The school will provide remedial measures to students who are struggling academically. The remedial measures will include extra classes, counselling, and guidance to help the students improve their performance.
